Still

Still, a photo by caroline..collins on Flickr.
Zebra 'trophy' Woolaton Hall, Nottingham. I took many photographs of the 'trophy' heads from a buffalow to a walrus. The main issue I encoutered was the shadows created by the lighting and the height of the subjects, this one being just below ceiling height. Also a challenge was restricted space in the room as there were many cabinets mostly filling the room. I focused on the eye of the zebra filling the frame as best I could given the lack of space to manouvere. f4.0 1/60 I also need to increase the ISO sentisivity due to the low light.

Tutor feedback:
The converse image is also great, I love the thought behind the image, a once moving animal renown for its movment stuffed and hung on the wall, quintessentially still - it's dead! There some 'interesting' shadows being cast by the head, I don't know if this was due to ambient lighting or what, I would normall try to minimise these somewhat.
