Exercise: Focal lengths and different viewpoints

Two photographs were required for this excercise, one taken with a wide angle lens and one with telephoto. The bigger the difference between the focal lengths the more dramatic the results.

Photo 1 - This photo was taken with my bridge camera at full zoom (35mm = 529mm)

The two picture give a very different perspective, the trees for example in this picture look compressed when compared to photo 2

I took this photograph of autumnal jasmine in my back garden, I like the fact that there is a green, less focused berry in the background.
