Exercise: Multiple points
I set up my tripod with my camera on a downward angle, as I'd used my tripod only once and needed to make quite a lot of adjustments before I was happy with it's stability. I layed out a sheet on the floor and gathered my 'points' started adding to the frame inbetween shots, I created random collections of points, patterns of points, mixtures of both, none of which resulted in a satisfactory image. What I had done so far didn't really mean anything or were very interesting. I started again with the intention of adding multiple points to build a zen garden image. My final image is shown here with the previous saved on my flikr page due to the number taken. The image is made up of elements that have representation, the large stones the mountains, smaller stones the earth, the sand and shells the sea, the clear quartz healing, the buddha meditation and peace, the rake is the tool used to 'work' the garden in a manner of slow contemplation in order to achieve tranquility. I wanted to build an image that was interesting to look at but also had meaning.
