Excercise: horzontal and vertical lines

The gull sitting on top of a sign would not be enough alone to create a vertical liine, but the addition of the 'no swimming' sign forms the basis of the liine. I wanted to create the impression of defiance from the gull, both signs are saying 'no', the gull is perhaps saying 'yes!'
