Exercise: A sequence of composition

This aim exercise of this exercise was to get used to the practical process of composing an image. For this a situation involving people was required. The idea was to record the way the pictures were approached and shot as I went along.

I chose to sit in the coffee shop of the Himalaya Centre at Twycross Zoo, people are used to the public taking photographs as the cafe is designed around the enclosure of the snow leopards and therefore cameras are a regular sight.

I needed to use the camera as a viewer and keep to my eye, which actually helps when trying to take pictures of unsuspecting people especially when the telephoto lense was attached. I took pictures as I went along but the subjects that stole the show were the beautiful snow leopards who have as part of the zoo's breeding programme sucessfully produced two cubs. A gread deal of patience was required for gaining any photographs of the cats as the seemed to sleep all the time!
