Notes on Quantum Leap photos

On a recent visit to my family home of Shrewsbury I tried to capture the curves and twist of the statue called 'Quantum Leap' which was designed as trinute to Charles Darwin who was born in Shrewsbury. Having looked ahead at my first assignment, I needed to capture some contrasting shots, this stature creates lovely curves especially with the shadows created by the mid October sunlight.

The first picture is too light, I took the photo from the theatre on the other side of the river in order to get the whole statue in the frame. The third picture down has some branches on the right which I would prefer to edit out at some point. The picture at the bottom is my favourite and will probably use this one for one of my pairs in my first assignment.
